This place is a hidden gem! This is my go to spot for Sunday brunch. Great quality food at reasonable prices -- not always true in West Hollywood. I love dining outside in their patio when it's warm and sunny. The inside also has a great ambience to it. Just started coming dinner! Staff is always great. Check it out especially if you're a local!
Was able to sneak a spot at the bar an hour before closing on Saturday night. Friendly bartender made me a refreshing Soul Cleanse that hit the spot. Vibe was energetic and still easy to have a conversation. Staff were all friendly and handled a difficult situation just outside the restaurant quickly, with very little disruption. Everyone's food looked great, I will be back to sample the menu.
Always a good selection on the menu. Highly recommended shoestring/thinner fries. Ordered the Croque Monsiuer, very good but almost too cheesy. Chicken Piccata is also recommended.
Visiting and came in for a late bite... amazed. The manager ( Artur?) recommended the magic mushroom penne pasta with chicken and our server Noelle was super sweet. Food and wine were delicious and service was excellent from the bartender to the bussers. Highly recommend. They have free parking in the back too. Loved the vibes !!!
Every time I stay at my time-share in West Hollywood, I find one restaurant I like and patronize it almost exclusively. This stay? It was WeHo Bistro, a uniquely French and International restaurant located on a corner with ample indoor and outdoor seating, a groovy almost Eighties feeling bar, and a killer dark outdoor garden for more romantic dinners... the ambiance here is festive, the lighting is solid, bright and colorful, and the staff are some of the most attractive and fun I've encountered in all of West Hollywood. I enjoyed the restaurant so much my first time patronizing it when I brought my lawyer for a "thank you meal" that I ate here 5 more times over the next few weeks! I made sure to take plenty of pictures along the way, so refer to them as I refer to the various foods I ate perhaps. My favorite dishes were: THE PASTAS Magic Mushroom Penne Pasta w Added Blackened Chicken - so savory and delicious, I've caught myself pausing to remember it numerous times. Jumbo Shrimp w Pesto Spaghetti was delicious, the fresh shrimp perfectly prepared in the lightest of pesto sauces and perfectly prepared spaghetti. Preferred this and the above mentioned Magic Mushroom to the Bolognese which was solid but somehow lacked the wow-factor for us on the particular night we had it... Chicken Picatta here was homey and balanced on par, with two nice breast pieces ladled over in the right amount of the piccata sauce, one that was lemony and without being cloying as piccata sauce can be when done wrong. The green bean and mashed potato sides were perfectly prepared too. A house special Duck w Honey Cognac Sauce was good but a tad overcooked for my taste, more my fault than the restaurant's, as I asked for crispy skin and that probably was the cause for this. It's a nice dish though and fairly priced so I just may give it a go again without that instruction. The au gratin potatoes side dish was spot on and delicious! THE STEAK One night we have the New York Steak Filet w French Sauce and it was perfectly prepared per my date's request of medium. She truly enjoyed it. THE SALADS They do salads quite well here with the Chef's Cobb Salad being a stand-out, what with its boiled eggs, flavorful tuna, and generous helping of primo anchovy filets. (*Note To Self: Find out what brand of anchovy they get). The Caesar Salad here was a let-down and it is something I'd say they need to revisit and re-think. In a city where Dan Tana's is just a few blocks away, you have to differentiate yourself some in the Caesar department for my money and this "new version" of it they are trying here? The only miss at WeHo Bistro in all 6 visits. That says something... DESSERTS You cannot go wrong with their crepes or this ungodly and decadent chocolate dessert they have, the name of which escapes me... THE BAR PROGRAM Head bartender, the affable DJ, and new pup Chase run a fun, albeit small, bar and yes, you can eat at it, something I love to do. Seasonal cocktails here are well thought out and they have a kickass Happy Hour from 5-6 pm w sliders that look amazing. ### I'll cut this review off here as it's getting long but, suffice to say, WeHo Bistro in West Hollywood is a gem of place where you have fun while you enjoy great meals and boozy drinks. The owner and his staff have caught a little lightning in a bottle here and I hope the restaurant sticks around for years to come so that I may come and enjoy it for many more years to come. :-) ** Free Parking & Good Rewards Program
Went for brunch Saturday morning. Christopher (the host) was super charming, funny and helpful-- seating us at our table quickly and thoughtfully getting two 'handbag stands' for our purses. Our server Trevin was equally sweet, attentive and efficient-- providing recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Now the food. The sandwich was excellent. And the fries tasty. The eggs Benedict was pleasant- although I think there is a fine line between 'fluffy waffles'-- which is what they were promoted as-- and soggy waffles, which was my experience- and the poached eggs were not quite done. So- overall a less desirable dish. Now, the juices. Weho sunrise was very nice, the what's up doc had a strong grapefruit flavor- so watch out. The restrooms were clean. Overall, a the food was okay - but the service was fantastic, making it probable that I would come back for a brunch.
Great little restaurant in West Hollywood. You sit down scan the QR code and they serve you. Waitress are fast and attentive they bring you out drinks really fast and answers any questions. Delicious bistro nestled in West Hollywood. It got quite busy while we were there which affected the quality of our service, but the ambiance was really cool. We could walk from our hotel. Great items on the menu. Would definitely visit again!
Came for brunch around Father's Day because we've been wanting to try this place out for a while and we truly fell in love with it. They do have parking right next-door in a parking lot. Just make sure you look for the signs. It can be a bit of a weight on a Saturday or Sunday, but trust me it's worth it. It's on a busy intersection so there's definitely more energy and a vibe here. Everything was spot on from the service to the ambience to the staff. Started off with the escargot, a charcuterie, board, and their shrimp appetizer. Everything was fresh, seasoned well and delicious. The escargot cooked perfectly. And the shrimp were plump and juicy. For our mains, we had a shrimp pasta, fillet, and fish. Again, everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly and we had no complaints. Definitely one of our new favorite brunch spots.
We came on a random afternoon and it was surprisingly very busy. We were nervous about getting seated but turns out they have even more seating in the back. French onion soup was great. Some of the best I've had in LA. Our favorite sandwich was the Wet & Juicy (pictured on top). I'm typically not a fan of sweet potato fries but the ones here were AMAZING. The truffle fries are also so perfectly crispy and tasty. The croissant french toast was SO GOOD! The cream and fruits are perfect additions. The chef came out to check on us a couple times to make sure everything was good. He was very friendly and attentive!
